Hand Dyed Rainbow Candle Workshop

Ganesh interactively working with 3 classes – 90 children, or if only 2 classes then each child will make two candles each. This involves taking a plain white candle and hand dying using three primary colours to create secondary colours making a rainbow candle – full spectrum and sequence. It is important for teachers and support staff of all three classes to be involved i.e., to join in with small groups – it paves the way for follow up work within the class.

Curriculum links here are full, primary, secondary, Richard of York Gave Battle In Vain and modern acronisms, science, arts, new language and maths for Key Stage 1. The atmosphere is awe and wonder with incredibly fast, instant results.

To save pence per candle the smaller candles can be used but I would definitely recommend the larger candle.

Mileage to be added at W.S.C.C. rate.
